Fred Williams III, a 23-year-old Black man, was fatally shot in the Grand Rapids area on November 18, 2011. His death is considered an unsolved homicide.

Details surrounding the incident remain scarce, but it has been reported that the shooting occurred outside of a body shop in Wyoming, a suburb of Grand Rapids. At the time of his death, Williams was a father and was remembered by loved ones for his sense of humor.
