Mary Matteson, aged 87, passed away on July 10, 2012, in Summit Township, Michigan. Her death was the result of a tragic incident involving her husband, Paul Matteson. Mary, who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease, was recovering from a broken hip in a hospital when the incident occurred. Paul Matteson, aged 88, entered the hospital and shot Mary before turning the gun on himself. This act resulted in both their deaths, and it was later classified as a murder-suicide.
