On July 7, 2020, 20-year-old Patrick James "P.J." Tordt was fatally shot during a home invasion in Huntsville, Alabama. The incident occurred just before midnight at a residence on Levert Street. Responding officers discovered Tordt deceased inside the home and found another individual suffering from multiple stab wounds; the injured person was transported to Huntsville Hospital in serious condition.
