Dominique Nolff, a 20-year-old Michigan State University (MSU) student from Middleville, Michigan, was tragically shot and killed on January 31, 2014, at Cedar Village Apartments in East Lansing. Nolff was pronounced dead the following day at 9:23 a.m. due to multiple gunshot wounds. The incident also involved a second victim, Nolff's roommate, Corbin Holwerda, who sustained a single gunshot wound but survived.
