In the summer of 2014, the life of Zachary Scott Bradburn, a 24-year-old male, was cut tragically short. On the night of Sunday, July 20, 2014, Bradburn was at the Dawg House bar in Flint, Michigan. As the night was drawing to a close, a violent altercation erupted, resulting in a shooting inside the establishment. Bradburn sustained a fatal gunshot wound during the incident and was pronounced dead at Hurley Medical Center.
The senseless act of violence that claimed Zachary Bradburn's
life prompted an investigation by the Flint Police Department. Their efforts led to the identification of two persons of interest in the homicide. In early August of that year, police arrested two cousins, 19-year-old Samuel Burch and 24-year-old Reco Burch, in connection with the fatal shooting. The arrests brought a measure of hope for justice for Zachary and his grieving family.
