In the late summer of 2014, the city of Flint, Michigan, was the scene of a violent crime that cut short the life of a longtime resident. Brent David Simpson, a 60-year-old male, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of August 27, 2014. The incident occurred on the north side of the city, where police were called to the scene of the shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Simpson, who had succumbed to his injuries.
