In the late summer of 2014, a violent confrontation in Pontiac, Michigan, tragically cut short the life of 21-year-old Steffan Causey, a Black / African American male. The incident unfolded on September 28, 2014, within the Bloomfield Hills Town House Cooperative. An altercation between Causey and another man, Travis Lamar Hudson, escalated dramatically. Witnesses reported that a scuffle broke out between the two, culminating in Hudson drawing a firearm and shooting Causey in the abdomen.
