Suelynn Burns, 54, a woman living in Flint, Michigan, was killed on January 7, 2015, in a shooting that left her home silent in the middle of an ordinary afternoon. At the Atherton East Apartments off Dort Highway, a 911 call came in around 3:30 p.m., and when officers arrived they discovered Burns and her son, Vanthony Burns, dead inside the apartment, both victims of gunfire.
