In the late summer of 2015, the city of Muskegon, Michigan, was unsettled by a series of shootings that caused concern among its residents. It was during this turbulent period that 22-year-old Marquis Grider-Sims, a male resident of Muskegon, tragically lost his life. On September 4, 2015, Grider-Sims was fatally shot in what appeared to be an act of gun violence.
