In the early morning hours of October 21, 2015, the life of 34-year-old Eric Harrington of Belding, Michigan, came to a violent end in a home on Oakwood Street. Responding to a frantic 911 call at 4:53 a.m., Belding police officers discovered Harrington lying unresponsive in a pool of blood, having been shot multiple times. The caller, his 21-year-old girlfriend, Kylie Vincent, was present at the scene and immediately admitted to shooting him, claiming he had attacked her.
