On a tragic evening in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Richard Eugene Smith Jr., a 53-year-old man, lost his life in a senseless act of violence. On February 20, 2016, Smith and his 17-year-old son, Tyler, were at a car dealership when they were fatally shot. The two were reportedly looking at vehicles when the gunman approached and opened fire.
