In the spring of 2016, a weekend in Detroit was marred by a wave of violence that tragically claimed the life of 35-year-old LaKisha Henry. An African American woman, Henry was driving her red Malibu on the city's west side on the afternoon of May 7, 2016, when she was brutally attacked. The assault began near a vacant house on Forrer Street and concluded a block away on Mansfield, where her life came to a sudden and violent end.
