In the summer of 2016, the life of 23-year-old Rashawad Demon Kidd was tragically cut short in his hometown of Flint, Michigan. A Black male, Kidd was fatally shot on August 6, 2016, in what police identified as the Ridgecrest homicide. The incident was part of a series of shootings that occurred in the city over a single weekend. Kidd was rushed to Hurley Medical Center, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
