Lavar Edwards, aged 39, and his 21-year-old son, Dejuan Davis, were tragically shot to death on January 1, 2017, in Detroit, Michigan. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. outside their home on Faust Street near Tireman Avenue, following a New Year's Eve party. Witnesses reported hearing three to five gunshots and saw Edwards running into his home bleeding profusely. Edwards was shot in the arm and leg, while Davis was shot in the head and stomach.
