In the spring of 2017, the community of Saginaw, Michigan, was shaken by the loss of one of its own. Stanley Myron Brown, Sr., a 63-year-old man, was found deceased outside of his home on Wisner Street, near East Genesee. It is believed that he had been shot the night before his body was discovered on the morning of April 7, 2017. His death was investigated as a homicide, contributing to a rise in violent crime in the city that year.
