On the evening of Thursday, October 24, 2024, a young life was abruptly cut short in Saginaw, Michigan. Diontae DeMarcus Calvin Lorenzo Levell Laury Jr., a 21-year-old Black male known affectionately to his family as 'Lil' D' and to his friends as 'Munk,' was found lying in the roadway at the intersection of Douglass and Youmans streets. Police responded to a call around 8:15 p.m. and discovered Laury Jr. had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
