On July 31, 2022, at approximately 10:56 a.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of Parkway Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Wesley Darrington inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Darrington was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
