Demetrius Jerel Jenkins, a 26-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of May 11, 2017, while riding his motorcycle in Inkster, Michigan. The shooting occurred in the vicinity of Carlisle and Middlebelt Road. After being struck by gunfire, Jenkins continued to ride his motorcycle for approximately three blocks before crashing. Emergency services were called to the scene, but he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
