In the early morning hours of December 17, 2016, a dispute that began over a game of pool inside the Stardust Lounge in Inkster, Michigan, tragically escalated, leading to the death of 26-year-old Joseph Franklin. Franklin, a Black male from Dearborn Heights and a father of three, had been at the nightclub with his mother.
