Patrol Officer Clay Hoover, aged 24, tragically lost his life on July 9, 1987, in Inkster, Michigan. Officer Hoover, along with Sergeant Ira Parker and Officer Daniel Dubiel, was attempting to serve a warrant for a bad check written by a 68-year-old woman at a motel on Michigan Avenue.
