On a tragic Father's Day in Detroit, 42-year-old Latrese Morris-Dorsey, a mother of three, was shot and killed in her own home. The devastating event unfolded in front of her 4-year-old daughter, while her 14-year-old son was in another room. The tranquility of the evening was shattered by the sound of gunshots, sounds her son initially mistook for something else until his younger sister ran to him for help. He then discovered his mother in her final moments and she died in his arms.
