Nicholas Jeffery Mitchell, a 4-year-old boy from Kalamazoo, Michigan, tragically died on November 9, 2017, as a result of a murder-suicide incident. The incident occurred early in the morning when Nicholas Allen Mitchell, the boy's father, arrived at a house on Emerson Street near Burdick Street. According to reports, Nicholas Allen Mitchell shot his ex-girlfriend, Julina Gale Gibson, and their son, Nicholas Jeffery Mitchell, before turning the gun on himself.
