On a late spring evening in Detroit, Michigan, the life of 45-year-old Tamika Garner was tragically cut short. On May 30, 2018, Garner and her 48-year-old fiancé, Erik Couch, were brutally murdered in their home on Patton Street on the city's west side. The couple, who were engaged to be married, were victims of a violent home invasion carried out by two masked gunmen.
