Andrea Gardner, a 24-year-old woman from Detroit, was tragically killed on August 11, 2017. She was attending a bonfire on Detroit's west side in Harry Laker Park when a shooting occurred at around 12:30 a.m. The gathering, initially meant to be a social event among friends and family, turned violent when someone opened fire on the crowd.
