On a cold November day in 2018, a young man's life was cut tragically short in Detroit, Michigan. Ryan Nelson, a 21-year-old Caucasian male, was visiting the city from Tennessee with his cousin, Garrett Cornwell. On November 30th, the two found themselves at the New Russell Creative Center, where a prearranged marijuana deal would quickly turn violent, ending in bloodshed and a lengthy legal battle.
