Just after 3:30 a.m. on July 8, 2025, Black male, Michael Davis, 23, was approached on Detroit's east side near East Outer Drive and Van Dyke. Three men, all dressed in black, opened fire, leaving Michael Davis with multiple gunshot wounds at the entrance of an apartment building on the 4600 block. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
