In the winter of 2018, the life of 28-year-old Donovan Barfield, a male resident of Lansing, Michigan, was tragically cut short in a violent encounter that began with a deceptive invitation. On December 14, three men, Anthony Brown, Neal Prince, and Willie Fletcher, orchestrated a dice game at Barfield's apartment with the premeditated intent of robbing him. The gathering took a dark turn in the early morning hours when Barfield was shot multiple times, succumbing to his injuries at the scene.
