Joshua Dewayne Chester, a 31-year-old resident of Lansing, Michigan, was found dead on October 3, 2017, at the Camelot Apartments located in the 4900 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue. The Lansing Police Department responded to a welfare check at the apartment complex shortly before 11 p.m. and discovered Chester's body with apparent gunshot wounds. His death was immediately classified as a homicide, marking the 11th homicide in Lansing for the year 2017.
