On October 24, 2023, two-year-old King Muhammad tragically died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Sunoco gas station on Dunkel Road in Lansing, Michigan. Surveillance footage revealed that King was left in a GMC Yukon with his mother, 26-year-old Emma Jane Huver, while her friend, 44-year-old Avis Damone Coward, entered the store. During this time, King accessed an unsecured firearm and accidentally shot himself in the head.
