In the spring of 2019, a young man’s life was cut short in Inkster, Michigan, over what police believe began as a transaction for marijuana. Marquis Hill, a 26-year-old male, was fatally shot on Monday, April 22, 2019. The incident, which ended in gunfire, left friends and family mourning a life they described as that of a great friend and a good person with a kind heart and a smile that could light up a room.
