In the winter of 2016, a young Black man named Dakari Mitchell, 21 years old, became the victim of a fatal shooting in Inkster, Michigan. On February 7th, Mitchell had arranged to meet someone to purchase a PlayStation 4 video game console he had seen advertised online. He informed a relative of his plans before leaving, but tragically, he never made it back home.
