Lateo Garrett, an 18-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, tragically lost his life on May 25, 2019, in a senseless act of violence. Lateo was at a Valero gas station located at Seven Mile Road near Outer Drive with his brother around 11:30 p.m. when the incident occurred. The brothers were inside the gas station getting something to drink when a man approached Lateo and attempted to snatch his Cartier sunglasses.
