On the evening of October 6, 2011, the life of Brian Richard 'Moe' Motyka, a 37-year-old male, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Detroit, Michigan. A well-known and beloved figure in the local music scene, Motyka was the unintended victim of a drive-by shooting at approximately 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Holbrook and Brush streets.
