On a summer evening in Detroit, the joyful sounds of a family gathering at Rouge Park were shattered by gunfire, forever altering the lives of a loving family. Francesca ‘Frankie’ Alyce Marks, a 30-year-old Black female, was fatally wounded on August 3, 2019, when a dispute over a basketball game escalated into a senseless act of violence.
