In the early morning hours of August 22, 2019, DeAnte Clark, a 26-year-old man from Detroit, Michigan, was fatally shot. He was a father of four sons, a writer, and a music enthusiast.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. inside a residence in the 18400 block of Robson Street. Clark was with 25-year-old Brandi Brown and another friend when two unknown individuals arrived at the home. The visitors were let inside, and at some point, gunfire erupted.
Both Clark and Brown were killed, and their friend was injured.
Following the shooting, the two unidentified suspects fled the scene in what was possibly a dark-colored SUV. As of 2023, the case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made in connection with the murders of DeAnte Clark and Brandi Brown. Law enforcement has sought help from the public, and a reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for any information that leads to an arrest. The families of both victims have made public pleas for answers and for anyone with information to come forward.
