In the early hours of a January morning in 2020, the life of 52-year-old Vanita Gray was brought to a violent and tragic end on the east side of Detroit, Michigan. A female victim of gun violence, Gray was discovered in the driver's seat of her SUV, which was riddled with bullets. The shocking scene unfolded less than a mile from the home she shared with her boyfriend.
