Katherine Louise Winston, aged 19, was one of the eight victims of the Hazelwood massacre, a tragic event that took place on June 14, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan. The massacre occurred at a house located at 1970 Hazelwood Street, near 12th Street, which was a focal point of the 1967 Detroit riot^1^.
