In the late hours of May 27, 2020, the life of Andre Turon Jones, a 41-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in his Grand Rapids, Michigan home. Responding to an anonymous tip around midnight, officers from the Grand Rapids Police Department arrived at a residence on Highland Street on the city's southeast side to investigate a reported shooting. Inside, they discovered Mr. Jones's body, bearing multiple gunshot wounds.
