In the late hours of May 27, 2020, the life of Andre Turon Jones, a 41-year-old Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in his Grand Rapids, Michigan home. Responding to an anonymous tip around midnight, officers from the Grand Rapids Police Department arrived at a residence on Highland Street on the city's southeast side to investigate a reported shooting. Inside, they discovered Mr.
Jones's body, bearing multiple gunshot wounds.
The Kent County Medical Examiner later conducted an autopsy and officially ruled the death a homicide. Detectives and forensic personnel from the Grand Rapids Police Department initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting. Despite their efforts in gathering evidence and seeking leads, the case has grown cold.
To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Andre Turon Jones, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
