On a Sunday evening in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the life of Damon Jearl Bradley, a 43-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On November 15, 2020, after finishing Sunday dinner, Bradley was waiting for a ride in front of an apartment on Plainfield Avenue NE near Caledonia Street. It was there that he was ambushed and shot in the chest. Bradley was rushed to the hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his wounds.
The Grand Rapids Police Department launched an investigation into the
homicide. Surveillance footage captured a suspect leaving the scene. The individual is described as being between 5'9' and 6' tall, wearing dark pants, a blue hooded sweatshirt, a surgical mask, and distinctive white and black tennis shoes. Investigators have highlighted the suspect's unusual gait, hoping it will aid in his identification. Despite the video evidence, the identity of the shooter remains unknown, and no arrests have been made in connection with the murder.
In the years following the shooting, Damon Bradley's family has continued to seek justice. His mother has publicly appealed for anyone with information to come forward. A reward of $2,500 is being offered by Silent Observer for any information that leads to the arrest of the individual responsible for Bradley's death.
