Gerry Griffith, aged 42, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2020, in Eastpointe, Michigan. The incident occurred during a family gathering in the backyard of his home, where a Fourth of July celebration was taking place. At around 1 a.m., an unknown assailant approached the driveway and opened fire, fatally shooting Griffith. The gunfire also injured another woman at the gathering and shattered windows of the home. Griffith's 10-year-old son was present but fortunately unharmed.
