On May 3, 2025, an altercation in the parking lot of a Foot Locker store in Eastpointe, Michigan, resulted in the tragic death of 18-year-old Steven Edward Gardin Jr. The incident unfolded when a group of individuals, including Gardin Jr., arrived at the store and encountered another group.
