Courtney Latrie Neely, aged 30, tragically lost her life on July 15, 2020, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Her death was the result of a murder-suicide perpetrated by her former partner, Michael Taylor. The incident occurred despite Courtney's efforts to escape the abusive relationship and start anew for herself and her four-month-old daughter, Carsyn. On the night of July 15, Michael Taylor fatally shot Courtney before taking his own life. Their infant daughter survived the ordeal.
