On the night of January 11, 2018, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the life of 25-year-old Marissa Joy Edmunds was tragically cut short. The scene unfolded just before midnight at the University Green Apartments, where a resident's attention was drawn to two men in ski masks hastily leaving the complex. Their hurried departure into a waiting car was followed by a chilling scream, 'They've killed her!', prompting an immediate 911 call.
