In the early evening of September 16, 2020, a tragic event unfolded on the streets of Wyoming, Michigan, forever altering the lives of two families. Elmer Geovany Lopez Toi, a 20-year-old male, was walking with 16-year-old Santos Padilla Banegas near the intersection of South Division Avenue and Wilbur Street SE.
