In the late afternoon of March 14, 2022, a trip to a Wyoming, Michigan, Walmart ended in tragedy for 29-year-old LaVail Dwayne Walker Sr., a Black male. Walker was at the store on 54th Street to drop off the wife of Tyray Daquion Holliday when a fatal confrontation occurred in the parking lot.

Holliday, who was also present at the location, claimed he believed Walker was armed. As Walker exited his vehicle with his hand in his pocket, Holliday drew a weapon and fired. Walker attempted to ...
