Santos Padilla Banegas, a 16-year-old resident of Wyoming, Michigan, tragically lost his life on September 16, 2020, in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. near the intersection of Division Avenue and Wilbur Street SE. Santos and 20-year-old Elmer Geovany Lopez Toi were walking together when they were shot by suspects in a dark-colored SUV. Elmer died at the scene, while Santos was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
