In the fall of 2020, a senseless act of violence tragically ended the life of Robert Earl Johnson, a 54-year-old man from Kalamazoo, Michigan. On the night of Friday, October 9th, Johnson was asleep in the presumed safety of his own home on North Church Street. In a devastating turn of events, a bullet penetrated the walls of his residence and struck him as he slept, inflicting a fatal wound.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety launched an immediate investigation into the shooting.
