In the a winter evening of December 18, 2020, in Detroit, Michigan, the lives of two sisters from Highland Park were tragically cut short. Shakiya Todd, an 18-year-old female, and her 21-year-old sister, Shaniya Todd, were visiting a home on Lantz Street when a dispute escalated into fatal violence. The sisters had gone to the residence to check on a woman they knew.
