On the first day of Pride Month in 2023, a life full of promise was tragically cut short in Highland Park, Michigan. Asia Davis, a 36-year-old Black transgender woman, was found deceased in her room at the Woodward Inn. Friends and family described her as a beloved, generous, and compassionate person who was affectionately known as 'Charm.'
