Jennifer R. Filbeck, a 51-year-old Caucasian woman, and her husband, David H. Filbeck, 53, were found deceased in their Applegate, Michigan, home on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Deputies from the Sanilac County Sheriff's Department discovered the couple after being dispatched to their residence on Suerwier Road just before 11 a.m. The investigation revealed that both Jennifer and her husband died from gunshot wounds. It is believed that the same firearm, a handgun, was used in both deaths.
